About us

Meventus is a renewable energy consultant and service company with offices in Norway and Sweden delivering services spanning the entire wind power project life cycle to customers throughout Europe and beyond. With extensive experience in complex terrain and cold climate, no project is too challenging for us.
Our flexible and diverse staff includes analysts, meteorologists and management consultants, making us one of few companies that provide professional services addressing both technical and commercial aspects of a wind power project. We understand the challenges facing owners and are committed to deliver high quality services to optimize your project, both technically and economically.

Our team

Kyle Brennan

Kyle Brennan, our Managing Director and Senior Wind Analyst, brings extensive expertise to Meventus. With over 150 wind projects worldwide, Kyle specializes in technical advisory, due diligence, and wind farm design. His experience with operational performance and power curve assessments make Kyle a key player in Owner’s Engineer and Lender’s Technical Advisor roles. As the Nordic wind industry transitions to offshore ventures, Kyle remains at the forefront of offshore wind project design and layout optimization.

Anne Haaland Simonsen

Anne Haaland Simonsen, a meteorologist and Senior Wind Analyst, excels in wind data analysis, climatic conditions assessment, and wind resource analysis using CFD flow models. With involvement in over 150 wind projects across Sweden, Norway, and Finland, Anne brings extensive experience in project development and Due Diligence work. She has also contributed to research projects and conducted studies on various aspects of wind analysis, including long-term correction, icing, and extreme wind.

Thilo Langfeldt

Thilo, our Head of Business Development, is instrumental in driving Meventus towards future growth. With 20 years of experience as a management consultant, specializing in energy, aerospace, and automotive industries, Thilo excels in procurement, sales strategy, and performance improvement. He has led negotiations with 15+ wind turbine suppliers, managing over 6000 MW capacity, both on- and off-shore. Thilo is also renowned for his expertise in wind power operations and maintenance, frequently sought after for strategic advice in the market.

Vaibhav Bhutoria

Vaibhav Bhutoria, a Renewable Energy Consultant at Meventus, holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering. With a professional career including work as a researcher, consultant, and software developer, Vaibhav specializes in wind resource and production assessments, layout optimization, and analysis tool development. His expertise extends to wind power projects across the Nordics, Georgia, and several African countries, where he has conducted layout optimizations, turbine selection, and energy yield and loss calculations.

Morten Rosen

Morten Rosen, a Renewable Energy Consultant at Meventus, holds a B.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Agder and has been active in the industry since 2021. Specializing in owner’s engineer/lender’s technical advisor tasks, greenfield screening/GIS, and Wind and Site analysis, Morten brings valuable expertise to our team. With involvement in numerous wind power projects across the Nordics and the Baltics, Morten has established himself as a proficient professional in the field.

Marit Stokke

Marit Stokke, a Renewable Energy Consultant at Meventus, holds an M.Sc. from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and brings valuable experience as an oceanographer to our team. Specializing in quality control of measured data and analysis, Marit's expertise is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our assessments. Her focus at Meventus has primarily been on offshore wind projects and market studies, complemented by her proficiency in greenfield screening/GIS and Wind and Site analysis.

Meventus has installed over 120 masts and LiDARS until Meventus divested this business in 2020. Now focusing on campaign tendering, we leverage our vast know-how in the do's and don'ts of measurement campaign planning.

Timeline

2005
When it all started
Meventus originated as the Wind Power division of Agder Energi, Norway’s third largest electrical utility, where it provided wind measurement and Wind and Site analysis services for all of Agder Energi’s wind projects.
2008
Agder Energi and Statkraft partnered
After this partnership, the Agder Energi Wind Power division became the sole provider of measurements and Wind and Site services for the SAE Vind common portfolio.
2011
Meventus became an independent company
The Agder Energi Wind Power division was reorganized and made an independent company owned by Agder Energy Venture.
2012
Meventus ApS, Denmark acquired
The Danish wind measurement service provider Meventus ApS was acquired by what is now known as Meventus AS, to form the basis of the company as it is today.
2014
Meventus opened office in Sweden
To meet the demand within the Swedish market, Meventus opened an office at in central Stockholm.
2015
Scandinavias tallest measurement mast installed
Meventus installs a 180m mast at Hornamossen in Sweden, breaking the height record for tallest mast specifically for wind power in Scandinavia. The research mast was equipped with over 30 sensors and was powered by a Meventus Hybrid Power Supply.
2015
70th measurement mast installed
We installed our 70th measurement mast and added Finland to our list of countries with measurement installations, along with Norway, Sweden, Germany and Austria.
2015
Revenues exceeded €4 million
With a large demand for measurements in the Nordic region, Meventus increased in size by employing several Project Managers and exceeded €4 million in consolidated revenues for the first time.
2016
Surpassed 10,000 MW of wind power projects assessed in the Nordics
Meventus has become one of the most experienced consultants focusing only on wind energy by analyzing over 10,000 MW of projects in Norway, Sweden, Finland and other countries.
2016
Increased Wind Turbine Procurement competence
Thilo Langfeldt joins the team, contributing to the increase of Meventus' experience in negotiating TSA and O&M Contracts to over 3,000 MW.
2018
Delivered our 70th Hybrid Power Supply
Meventus delivered our 70th Hybrid Power Supply for powering and heating a measurement mast in northern Sweden.
2019
Annual production index for the Norwegian Government
Meventus won the four-year contract with the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat(NVE)) to provide an annual report of wind speed and production index levels for all 40 operational wind farms in Norway.
2020
Meventus focuses on Consulting Services
Meventus sold our Denmark-based Wind Measurement and Power Supply department to Scanmatic AS and leverages our experience and competence to improve our consulting and advisory services.
2023
Expanding to new markets
Meventus started extensive work in offshore wind, as well as market studies and procurement for hydrogen pipeline projects and EV charging stations.
2024
Offshore wind study
Meventus, together with MultiConsult, won the bid for a study ordered by the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (Norges vassdrags- og energidirektorat(NVE)) to assess the wind conditions and possible expansion of 20 Offshore Wind areas in Norway. The study is to be made public later in the year.
